PERUVIAN BLUE OPAL BEAD PARCEL
This is a Peru blue opal parcel of ASSORTED beads that has all been drilled .The drilled hole is small app 1 mm.There is a variety of shapes and sizes in the parcel-ideal for mix and match with other gems.The stones are very well polished so you will see some reflection from the light we use.
Some of these stones are transulant and there is some natural matrix in others making this a interesting and colourful bead..

Note some of the stones may have some natural fractures in them but they are still strong.
Peruvian opals range in color from very blue to green / blue to an aqua colored blue.
Peruvian blue opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a very translucent stone with color similar to the Caribbean Sea. Depending on how the stone is cut it can be clear, scenic (showing varying degrees of color) or dendritic which has black fern like inclusions.
This is the national stone of Peru.
