Description
Amethyst is a purple form of quartz and it is the birthstone associated with February.
This is a parcel of well tumbled stones with a good polish. The name is from the long teeth like look of the stone. They can be wire wrapped or another option is to make a natural bead out of it by drilling it.
Amethyst occurs in primary hues from a light slightly-pinkish violet to a deep grape purple. Amethyst may exhibit one or both secondary hues, red and/or blue. The ideal grade is called "Deep Siberian" and has a primary purple hue of around 75–80 percent, 15–20 percent blue and (depending on the light source) red secondary hues. This is a parcel of 5 well-tumbled stones.
