Ivory is a hard a smooth , hard, white, opaque substance that is normally the colour of bleached bone – a dentine that makes up most of the tusks of elephants, walrus, mammoth, narwhales, etc…. it is classified as is bone it has a variable colour averaging a pale yellow.
