RAINBOW CALCILICATE
Weight 8.75 cts app Size 20x14 x4 mm app
This material is a new discovery from Chihuahua in Mexico and has many layers of different colors: red, brown, green, tan, blue, yellow, white and others. It has been verified as a natural stone not man made. It is composed of Calcite-Allophane (Blue and green) and silica with various trace metals that cause the other colors. It has been stabilized the same as Turquoise. This makes it very stable and easy to cut and polish..There is similar man made product avaliable so i have included a picture of the rough from the mine.The stone has a black backing to give it strength.The material is porous so its hard to get a good polish on it.There has a been a small amount of filling applied.This is a beautiful stone,
