Description
CHRYSOPRASE
This material comes from the famous Maryborough mine in Queensland, Austraia, which is now closed. The material has been tumbled to remove the dirt and it is now ready for cabbing carving or bead making.

Chysoprase is a close relative of Carnelian, but is bright green, which comes from the trace amounts of nickel. Like Carnelian, Chrysoprase is a variety of Chalcedony, a crypto - crystalline variety of Quartz, and is translucent to semi - transparent with a waxy luster.
