If simulates are found, we will no longer purchase gemstones from that source. We cannot be liable for simulates we buy from our suppliers in good faith that they are “natural” gemstones according to our suppliers word, which downgrades our reputation. For Turquoise Customers
About Stabilized Turquoise:Stabilizing turquoise (or coral) without adding dyes and other materials makes turquoise usable in making fine jewelry. Un-stabilized turquoise is fine for the collector who plans on storing the stone in dark conditions, protected from the elements. Things like sunlight, pollution in the air, or chemicals used in everyday products like bleaches and dishwashing products, oils, and etc., will damage turquoise that is not protected. What today is a beautiful stone, may turn colors, become brittle, dry out, and could even crack over time, becoming ugly and useless. The stabilizing of turquoise received a bad name because of people not disclosing its treatment, and passing it off as natural back in the 60’s to 80’s. Stabilizing turquoise, in effect, protects it as mother earth protects the stone in darkness away from other than natural chemicals. It is a common and accepted practice today to stabilize turquoise as long as it is disclosed to the public.
