Emblematic Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse depicts an emblematic image of a ‘cuddly’ koala and her joey (young) sitting on a tree branch.
24-Carat Gilding
Both animals feature precision-applied 24-carat gilding, a spectacular numismatic treatment creating wonderful visual appeal.
Shimmer Table
The coin’s reverse, which includes The Perth Mint’s official ‘P’ mintmark, also features a unique ‘shimmer’ table.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin's obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Limited Mintage
The Perth Mint will release no more than 10,000 of these Gilded Koala silver coins.
Presentation Packaging
Each coin is housed in a black display case with a blue lid, accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Each case comes in an illustrated box shipper depicting a coloured image of a koala.
