MOST COMMON THEY ARE WALNUT CARVINGS.THE CARVINGS ARE ON THE SURFACE OF THE WALNUT.BUT OLIVER CARVINGS ARE VERY RARE AND NEW .IT IS AN INTERESTING PIECE FOR YOUR COLLECTIONS. THERE IS A SIGNATURE OF THE SCULPTOR DOWN THE BACK.
