Description
1298.0ct Lots of Rare Utah Fossilized Gem Red Coral Rough. As you know the Red Horn Coral can’t be mined anymore because of the very strict laws of procuring any Red Horn Coral from the ocean. This is the last of the material found in Utah and mined in 1947. I was able to obtain a limited amount of material from an old stock-pile from the original mining of this material. It is over 300 million years old back when Utah was part of the ocean. The coral over millions of years fossilized with impregnated colorless agate. There has been no dying or treatments and totally natural. Each piece of rough is truly unique as each has its own formations. There will never be more because any left in the ground is on government protected land and no mining will ever be allowed according to the Utah state geologist. PICTURED IS THE ACTUAL ROUGH YOU ARE BIDDING ON.
