THIS IS A WELL POLISHED STONE OF GOLD IN NATURAL QUARTZ WHICH WAS MINED IN GYMPIE QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA.I BELIEVE THERE IS A COMPANY IN THE USA WHICH IS INJECTING GOLD INTO QUARTZ TO GIVE A SIMILAR APPEARANCE AS THE NATURAL ITEM INCLUDED HERE.THIS MATERIAL IS MINED AT A GREAT DEPTH AND IT IS VERY RARE-THE PRICE FOR SUCH MATERIAL IS 3-5 TIMES GOLD SPOT PRICE EVEN THOUGH A LOT OF WEIGHT IS JUST QUARTZ.THIS IS GREAT FOR A COLLECTORS ITEM OR IT CAN BE MADE IN TO TOP JEWELLERY.
