RHODOCHROSITE (WHICH MEANS ROSE - COLOUR) IS A VERY ATTRACTIVE MINERAL, WITH AN ABSOLUTELY ONE - OF - A - KIND BEAUTIFUL COLOUR. ALTHOUGH IT CAN BE AN ORE OF MANGANESE, ITS ORNAMENTAL AND DISPLAY SPECIMEN QAULITIES THAT MAKE IT A VERY POPULAR MINERAL. SIZE: 20 x 15 x 6 MM APPROX. WEIGHT 22.50 CTS APPROX.
THE COLOUR OF A SINGLE CRYSTAL CAN JUST ASTOUND THE OBSERVER WITH ITS VIVID PINK ROSE COLOUR THAT SEEMS TO BE TANSMITTED OUT OF THE CRYSTAL AS IF LIT FROM WITH IN. WHILE THE MINERAL IS FOUND WORLDWIDE, LARGE RED CRYSTALS ARE FOUND ONLY IN A FEW PLACES ON EARTH, AND SOME OF THE BEST SPECIMENS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN THE SWEET HOME MINE. THIS STONE IS FROM ARGENTINA.
