1294.0ct Lots Valuable Top Gem Quality Natural Peru Rhodocrosite "ORTIZ" in 1gr to over 5gr sizes. MAKE CABS-BEADS or even FACET THE ROUGH. Found within hard host rocks, nice translucent gem grade and far rarer and more valuable than it's cheaper near opaque Argentina counterpart. Attractive, rose reddish, gemmy translucent to opaque, free of significant unnatural flaws, with attractive face up and eye appeal. With the recent earth quack in South America the mine for what little Rhodocrosite ORTIZ was found was totally destroyed. Who knows when they will even attempt to start mining there, and when they start mining it might take years to find more. Right now they are concentrating on mining Copper for the quick cash turnaround. Pictured is the actual lot of rough you are bidding on.
