Description
12.28 grams of great looking color. 5 stones. One would need to be split along a crack to cut two stones. Clean crystal sections. Popular color tones as the pictures show. $80/gram.
I purchased a couple parcels of cut green and blue stones from Namak Mandi market in Peshawar Pakistan. I sent a blue and a green stone away for apprasial and certification at Harold Weinstein Labs. I'm listing the stones on the auction site at less than trade value. Trade in the industry is considered the value that jewelers purchase at themselves. Tripple key pricing. Trade is 1/2 wholesale and 1/3 retail. The same as given in the Stuller book of Colored Stones and Diamonds. I tried to purchase the most pleasing tones to the eyes as isn't that what its all about?
Certified apprasied stones are taken from parcels. Stones from the same parcels are offered for less in the non certified section of this auction site. Just look at the price and see what type of deal your getting. Appraised prices are at fair market value as deemed by the gemologist at the time of certification. Please note the date on the apprasials.

How do you take good pictures of gemstones? Everytime I try they come out dark and not at all what they look like. Please help:)

It's a long road of taking many shots. You need a small tripod to get clear photos and you need a good light source. I use a fiber optic illuminator with two lights. One faces the stone 90 degrees to the table facit and the other light can do the same or back light it a bit from above. It helps if it's not too dark around you sometimes. You have to play around. Make sure you set camera for tungsten light if inside. Camera is set naturally for sunlight so out door shots in the sun behind you might work ok. Good luck and get ready to delete a lot of shots. I learned on opal which is the hardest to photogtaph. Murray

taking picture of my two hundred tourmalines made me want to pull my hair out but anyway would you consider selling a single piece of rough from this parcel? i need alot of rough to send over seas to have some specialty cuts done but affording the few hundred carats of clean tourmaline is not something i can just buy so i have to piece my own parcel to send a little bit at a time.

im the newby on this auction site i do alot of buying but not here as of yet i have a large collection of rare tourmalines and some not so rare. but i added a coment asking if you can seel a piece of rough from your parcel or two this one and there is another one as well. if you can would like to get a price if not thats ok i will meet my quota eventually a hundred or so dollars at a time. my gem cutting service in sri lanka is sithy good stuff and good prices but requires a fair amount of rough to meet the min order. and in tourmaline thats is not easy for a disabled mineral miner/ lab tech who can't go back to work. been making jewelry and going pretty well locally and recently on ebay. well let me know. thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. warren jr
