* PLEASE NOTE:

THESE ARE ACTUAL PICTURES OF THE ACTUAL STONE. They are VERY accurate as to the hue of the stone.

This is a cuprian rubellite tourmaline.

It is a red tourmaline so therefore it falls in the Type III category with Emeralds, Kyanite, Prehnite, Red Beryl, Rhodochrosite, Sphalerite, Sphene, Watermelon Tourmaline.

So, that means they are included even when they are VVS and when I say included I mean lots….. It’s the nature of the animal (or mineral, as it were).

Not that almost clear specimens aren’t available. They are but at higher cost per carat.

Secondly…..Cuprian…. It means it has needles of copper in it or copper in it's chemical composition….

This one has needles of copper in it.

Really!

You can see ‘em…..

Looks like wood splinters.

That make this stone worth more.

Ok…. Now that we are all on the same page….

This is a excellent stone.

VVS and a AAA grade color…… this stone is what causes all the rubies, down at the Gravel Pit, to drink to excess.

It has a well done emerald step cut, with plenty of pink, fuschia, and magenta fire.

This stone has so much potential it hard to even imagine all the possibilities.

Rubellite can run as high as 800.00-1000.00 per carat for stones such as this one.
