Description
OLD STYLE BRASS SINK PLUG,THESE USED TO BE IN CONCRETE SINKS BUT COULDNOT FIND SINK IT CAME FROM
Around 1998 I took my 2 boys Jason n Mark camping at a place called Lightning Ridge in New South Wales Australia
We camped near creek which was about 1.5 hours drive from township..
It was very rough terrain and trees only grew 6 ft tall, very hot desert conditions
On the second day we explored the area and found mounds dirt that looked like they were man made.
On closer investigation we could make out rectangular shape mounds about 12 foot long by 8 foot wide
So it was obvious it had been a hut out in the bush, the first item we found was door handle knobs and key lock. on the ground. but no door or building material of any kind..
We spent an afternoon and found tall glass bottle, and on rusty old tin box that had corroded but it had some coins in it and a tie bar I think its called.
The coins were Australian and English and were dated around the end of the second war, so I think a British or Scot guy must have made camp there as also some cooking items were made in England and I think termites must have eaten the building as there was no wood or timber around at all,so I think he must have made dirt mounds to keep the water out and hut must have been timber with bark slabs for sides n roof as we found no nails on this site at all and you would expect too find some..
