Description
* THE PICUTES OF THIS STONE SHOW IT TO BE A BABY PINK......IT IS NOT..... IT IS A HUSKY, DARK PINK BORDERING REDDISH BROWN.... WHAT YOU ARE SEEING IS THE FIRE REFLECTED IN THE LIGHTS OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
Zircon ……..
Not a stone that everyone is familiar with, but should be.
Zircon comes in a variety of colors. Light brown, dark brown, gray, blue, pink, yellow, clear and a reddish brown which is referred to as hyacinth.
The pinks and blues are the most common and most sought after although they are all beautiful.
A zircons luster can be from vitreous, which mean they sparkle like broken glass, to adamantine, which means they break light into it’s spectral colors.
FIRE! FIRE!
( I like to do that!... which is why they don't like me in movie houses....)
They have a greater dispersion than a diamond, as well.
This zircon is a husky, dark pink bordering on the hyacinth hue.
It has a very good modified princess cut and is a perfect size for a ring, a pendant, a tie tack, a stickpin….you name it.
It is VVS and adamantine, with a very interesting play of color. The pink/brown hue of the stone tinting the fire and bringing to life some very rare shades of color in hues my crayon box hasn’t got….
The wholesale price for zircons can run from 17.50 to
180.00 @ carat…. And, for a good quality stone, they are worth every penny.
This one??
40.00 @ carat
Though the pictures are good….. You will not appreciate the bargain in full until you see this stone in person.
If you didn’t like this auction, you’re going to HATE these !
