NEW SELLER FEES FROM 1ST JANUARY 2013:

Listing fee will be $0.50 for all listings. This is a once only fee, listings can be set to automatically relist for 99999 times. Commissions charged on sold items as follows:

49.50 to $99.00 9.75%
99.50 to $199.00 9.5%
199.50 to $299.00 9%
299.50 to $499.00 8%
499.50 to $999.00 7.5%
999.50 to $1999.00 7%
1999.50 to $2999 6.5%
2999.50 to over 5%

 

Plan fees per month will stay same except for:

Starter plan that will be $10 per month with video upload included.

Sellers on OA n GR can have sellers account on jewelry-auctioned or Coins-auctioned.com with No Monthly admin plan fee.

Verifed Sellers fees from 1st Jan 2010

 

Starter plan up to 20 items are allowed 2 NR

To be eligible for Base plan you need 21 to 100 items which include 10 NR auctions

To be eligible for Star plan you need 101 to 250 items which include 11 NR auctions

To be eligible for Gem plan you need 251 to 500 items which include 12 NR auctions

To be eligible for Harl plan you need 501to 1000 items which include 18 NR auctions

To be eligible for GH plan you need 1001 to 5000 items which include 20 NR auctions

Gemstone Sheriff program:

This program is operated by qualified Gemmologist and panel of advisers from with the Gemstone industry.

The Gemmologist is a voluntary position and is not paid or reimbursed in any way.

Any queries or questions should be direct to our sheriffs .

All sellers are to adhere to highest level of professional conduct for the benefit of the opal/gemstone industry

Sellers who do not adhere to our level of conduct are given three warnings before they are permanently suspended

A warning from sheriff is considered a strike

Three strikes and seller is suspended.

Sheriff can issue downgrade for 30 days also with out effecting a strike

example if seller lists a synthetic stone they will be downgraded for 30 days which means they cannot list any new items.

A strike automatically downgrades seller for 30 days also

Sellers with Feedback below 95% are not Verified Sellers and cannot have account upgraded till feedback above 95 % for last 12 months a trading.

OS/OS can suspend sellers under 95% feedback.


Black Images: 

All FIRST images must be neutral not black background.

Our policy has always been black images makes some stone look enhanced

You can use black background but you need to Gallery Image to

Have neutral back ground image.

Or hand image.

Or close up of the item with no background.


Our Key Strength:

Our key strength is that all of our sellers are verified and experts in their industry, as opposed to other websites which allow anyone to sell.

Our preference is for new sellers that have gemstones that will compliment our range of gemstones and are experienced.

First Preference is for new sellers who mine a particular stone or concentrate one a particular gemstone or live in area that specializes in a mineral or gemstone.

Second preference is for gemstone wholesalers who can supply verified gemstones with good back ground and continual supply of quality gemstones. 

Buyers appreciate this fact and know that they are dealing with professionals, and this has resulted in strong and consistent sales growth in the last few years. We have also noticed an upward trend in the average sale price, meaning that buyers on our network are seeking higher quality items.  

We place a very high importance on product knowledge and experience in the industry and we aim to create a positive community spirit with our fellow sellers. 

We run as a family business and to date 99% of commission revenue paid by sellers is reinvested back into the continual development of our auction platform. 

We are looking for sellers who will compliment our existing members. 

 

Seller Application Prerequisites:

 

How to Apply:

Write a brief about yourself and your business. Mention your key strengths in business, either a direct source to certain type opal or gemstone, geographic location, or specialty in a specific type of stone. Applicants with a strong business plan and long terms goals are valued on this site. 

 

Once you are approved: 

Approved sellers must receive 10 positive feedback ratings from buyers before they are considered verified.  

If your application is unsuccessful, please try again as it could be that our existing sellers have similar stocks or price points as you .

Gemstone Sheriff Requests:

Sellers have to abide by all Gemstone Sheriff Requests.

A request is when a buyer asks our Gemstone Advisory Panel or Gemstone Sheriff to check the listing accuracy of a gemstone auction. 

The seller must reply in 24 hours to buyer’s request 

Any seller not fully complying with a buyers request will have their account downgraded.

A seller who has THREE downgrades in 12 months will automatically be suspended. 

Downgrade applies to our sellers plans, so if seller doesn’t fully comply with a request their account will be downgraded so that they cannot list any more items till description is accurate.

2. Agree to post accurate descriptions and use correct categories and professional images 

IMAGES All images are to be taken by sellers or staff and no GENERIC images allowed

No images with camera logo allowed or copy and paste from another site.

No images are allowed to be copied from other web sites. all images to be supplied by seller .no exceptions

All images to be cropped 700 x 700 px,

If gallery image is Black based another image needs to be uploaded in different colour background.

Professional comments to be uploaded under Gallery image

3. Pay your fees by 16th of each month.

Any breach of unprofessional business practise will result in a warning.
