AZURITE MALACHITE STONE , READY FOR A BEAUTIFUL SETTING
LARGE LOW DOME OVAL CUT STONE
Azurite is a very popular gemstone because of its unparalleled color, a deep royal blue called "azure", hence its name. Azure is derived from the arabic word for blue. Malachite's name is from the Greek, malache, "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color. The colors are due to the presence of copper (a strong coloring agent). Both of these minerals are copper carbonates and the material is usually found in major copper mines. The material used for these cabochons comes from the Morenci Copper Mine in Arizona. Azurite has been used as a dye for paints and fabrics for eons. It is very similar in composition and often found with green Malachite. Malachite too, was crushed for pigment, and often used as make-up. Both materials ae soft, about a 4, and care must be taken when wearing or cleaning these cabochons.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
