This is a really nice example of a long cut Tourmaline. Tourmaline is really the only stone that can be cut this way, and even then, only some Tourmaline can be cut this way. This Tourmaline has a nice blue-green color and when it catches the light properly, it's really bright, as you can see from the pictures. The cut on this stone is very finely proportioned. It's clearly a professional cut, not the substandard cuts you see coming out of most countries. There are a few inclusions here and there within the stone, but the color is so rich that you don't really see the flaws. I took pictures of this stone in multiple lighting environments to give you the best overall idea of its color and quality. This Tourmaline retails for about $750.
I'm from San Diego, so I'm a lover of fine Tourmaline, which has been mined here for over 100 years. Check out my other auctions for more examples of fine Tourmaline.
As a certified gemologist I can verify that the above description is accurate and that this stone has been tested in the gem lab to verify identity and natural origin. I preformed tests using a Refractometer, Polariscope, Microscope and Chelsea Filter to make absolutely sure this wasn't an imitation or fake.

The photos don't do this stone justice. The deep, bright reds are just stunning.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
