Certified as a padparadscha, this is an intense pinkish orange sapphire.

If you’ve looked at many padparadscha sapphires, you will notice one padparadscha sapphire can be very different from another, as if they are wholly different gems. The explanation is this:

In gemmology, the padparadscha sapphire is evaluated based on qualitative values of color spectrum more than it is strictly defined quantitatively. Hence when it falls into a certain color spectrum (and this differs from gemologist to gemologist), it is reported as a padparadscha and not just an orange sapphire. And yet, padparadscha or orange sapphire, they are all corundums.

Given there is a lot of confusion and contention, it is imperative to consider for yourself what shade or spectrum of an orange sapphire you love.

Of course it is hard to describe the color of this sapphire, but it truly is pinkish orange. The question is how much pink do you desire in the orange?

This padparadscha-orange sapphire holds its color consistently indoors and out – this is the plus from its saturated hue. It is lovely as the pink and orange converse in waves, the eyes pick this up immediately, and certainly the stone’s fire.

This is also a good size not easily available for this gem.
