This is a beautiful 5.65ct Gubelin certified unheated Sapphire. The color is a lighter cornflower blue which has great luster even in low light conditions. Nobody wants to buy a sapphire which looks black when they go out to dinner. That’s not what you want to be paying for. This stone will sparkle blue wherever you go. Capturing the true color of a sapphire in photographs and video is very difficult, however you can get a sense of the beauty of this stone and it’s wonderful luster.  Clean and unheated sapphires with a balanced color are very rare especially when you keep in mind that only 1% of sapphires on the market are untreated. We spend quite a lot of time picking out top sapphires and usually reject 90% of that 1% in order to obtain the best possible gems.
