5.95 Ct Cambodian Zircon.

Zircon is mined down tunnels that go down to a gravelly layer where the rounded zircon pebbles are found. A pump is needed to pump out ground water that constantly seeps in. Many stones are heated to see if they can get the prized red and blue colors.
This cushion shaped gem has a nice cut and has enough pavilion to give full reflection with no window. There are a couple inclusions on the pavilion one is barely eye visible but the stone is essentially eye clean. You can’t see the speck in the face of the stone, only when looking with a loupe directly at the side.
