Shattuckite is a rare copper silicate mineral, which like a number of other secondary copper minerals has a very attractive green blue color. It is named after its type locality, The Shattuck Mine, where it was first discovered in the copper mines of Bisbee, Arizona. It pseudomorphs from malachite, i.e. it replaces the crystal structure of the original malachite atom by atom.
