FIRE AGATE ROUGH
This is a natural fire agate that we have rubbed down to expose the colour bar-it can be further polished which will enhance it more.The bubble colour bar is thin so you have to be careful not to rub it away.As the surface is undualting its best to use a dremel to polish it.This stone has been rubbed down by the miner and they are a bit heavy handed so you should be slow and careful with finishing the stone.

This stone was mined in Mexico but it is found in Arizona also.The stone appears to glow inside like opal.The gem is thought to be formed when hot water saturated with silica and lava oxide invade cavities in the rock and cool.Chalcendony with iron oxide begin to grow on the surface.The iron oxide gives the basic brown colour to the stone.It grows layers of silica and iron oxide. These alternating silica and iron oxide cause the brillant fire from the stone.After the iron oxide ran out of the specimen colourless chalcedony contined to grow over it.
I am very upset with your misrepresentation of this rough . What I received was a much paler stone , more like a very pale aqua chalcedony . It was not the lovely rich green you showed . I will contact Gem Rock Auctions to complain . If it was not a f
