Additional Comments: ANTIQUE SILVER WRESTLERS MEDALION Natural local plant resins in middle of medallion . This medallion is estimated to be around 200 to 250 years old from ancient Persia. The Persian Empire was strong than and wrestlers held a high position in society and were well respected. The main reason was that if a dispute erupted between Ruling Lords, they would not go to war, but would send their wrestler to the arena and the winning wrestler solved the Lords dispute in his favour. Therefore if you read old Persian tales .there you will find a tale of wrestlers Rustan and Sohrab. These wrestlers fought against each other in a death fight.
