GR 88 This is an Australian blue sapphire we at oftheearthgems faceted at our own lapidary. I should call it the midnight star because when viewing it it's like looking at a field of small blue stars on a midnight background. The stone is a deep blue and is a good size, well suited for a mans ring. We got the stone evaluated at Gemval { an Australian company recognized by insurance companies through out the world} and they valued the stone for insurance purposes at $1938 Australian {$1383 US} and calculated the retail price to be $1550 Australian {$1106 US} and calculated the whole sale price to be $775 Australian {$553 US}
