This Uruguayan amethyst material is renowned for exhibiting bright pinks in addition to its deep purples. Stones that exhibit a lovely lavender-pink are deemed "rose de France" amethysts. To see the pink in a stone, the stone must be viewed under a warm light such as a yellow incandescent light bulb.
