CANDY OPAL PAIR
This colorful striped gemstone is Candy Opal is found in western Utah, in the Thomas Mountain Range near the city of Milford in Beaver County. It is also known as Bacon Opal and several other names. It is slightly translucent (usually in the clear bands!) and has red, white, pink and yellow stripes. Opal that is mostly opaque, with no play of color, is actually quite common.
