Kauri Pine Agathis jurassica is a pine tree that still grows
today in Australia known as Kauris. The tree branches and leaves were set in
brown ironstone when the climate was wet and warm so some good details are
still visible on some leaf stems.
Fish fossils are found in the same area as these pine fossils
in Talbragar in New South Wales but the site has now been worked out and very
little areas are left to excavate.
These fossils display ivory hues and the ironstone is yellow
hues to deep brown so striking difference to make good specimen displays.
