ORTHOCERAS is a genus of extinct nautiloid. Its fossils are very common in marine strata, especially limestone. They lived more than 400 million years ago. The name means straight horn, referring to the characteristic long, straight, conical shell. The preserved shell is all that remains of this ancestor of our modern-day squid.
Transaction was quick and efficient; I hope the delivery is as well. The pendant looks charming. Intrigued to see whether the stone is equal to the photo. Does anybody know what the carving represents?
