Mandarin Garnet is the vivid Orange colored variety of Spessartite Garnet that was discovered in Namibia about 25 years ago.
Because of its incredibly vibrant color, that is unlike any other natural Gemstone, it was immediately embraced by the International gem trade.  Unfortunately the find was small and depleted quickly. Gems with this stunning color and size are not readily available in the market.

 Large Round 10.86 ct Natural Mandarin Garnet Gemstone. It is a trade fact that Mandarin Garnets larger than 5 carats usually have many inclusions due to the Geographic conditions that were surrounding them when they were formed. This Gem has some visible inclusions, but they do not detract from the quality of the Gemstone, in fact they could be said to aid the appearance, and confirm its natural heritage. A buyer with unique ideas will create a Stunning piece of Jewelry with this Gemstone. It would be a piece that would be hard to replicate, as Gemstones of this size and quality are very very scarce.
