Rare Sapphire here because: - the cut brings a lot of sparkle - 1.45ct certified untreated and unheated - Bi-color yellow - clean clarity !!! Rare combination here.
Face to face, in the two rounded sides of the oval cup, the yellow color is of medium saturation and face to face on the two elongated sides, yellow of light color. Light mediumlight tone. There is a lot of brilliance in this sapphire when a bright light (like the sun or the LED) goes through it, lot of fire - the colors here are of that "sparkling" type. Really interesting '
The clarity is perfectly clean to the eye. Eyes-clean - VS because: There is some Silk in this crystal. It is found everywhere and it is possible to see it with the eyes face up directly under the sapphire table BUT, to be able to see this silk, you need the right angle and the right lighting conditions. The advantage of silk is that when a brilliant light goes through the crystal, it provides a more " foamy " diffusion, more " pronounced ". This gives more character to the reflection of the light from the crystal. There is also a very small chip visible with the eyes (but you really have to observe the stone up close) which is directly on a facet of the pavilion below the girdle, somewhere. Obviously, this chips is not visible face up but only through the pavilion. This is why I give a perfectly eyes-clean quality but VS. (if you treat this sapphire by heating, the silk will completely disappear and the color will become much stronger - VVS quality and Rich saturation possible if heated !)
The cut is good to very good, the table, the crown and the facets are well cut, the girdle is thin, the pavilion is good but could have been "straighter". The culet is almost centered. The cut is very nice to see face up, this is sure, however, there is a window which is present… below the table .. and the reflection of the light is therefore not " full ", as in most colored cut stones….
