This stone is eye clean. With the loupe I found a small speck in the lower pavilion, it is on the outside of the stone and can only be seen under lighted magnification.
Beautiful pinkish Tajik spinel. Tajikistan has long been a mining area for spinel. Some of the sweetest pink tones have come from this mining area.
I found Tajik spinels to be more expensive than Sri Lankan gems. To my eyes the stone is pure pink but in the sunlight the camera was picking up a nice pink pastel color in the shaded photo’s especially.
