The diamond is QR/VS1.

A VS1 diamond is very clean. This VS clarity attribute is instrumental in compensating for its off white color.

In fact, for this diamond, because it is so big and clean, its fire catches the eye, not the color. It is a curious trick of the eye indeed, that its QR color is only perceived invariably.

The fire of this 5 carats diamond has a lot of integrity, words do not suffice.

Design wise, a high carat diamond needs very little to show. This diamond is set in a six-prong solid setting; the prongs do not have harsh endings.

The prong bezel is lowered (ie. the scalloped part) so most of the diamond is uncovered. This is important since a big diamond really allows the eye to get lost within.

The diamond measures 11.6 x 11.75 x 6.49mm.

It is actually big enough, and wholly possible to look into the diamond, part to part. Unlike in a smaller diamond, the facets do not seem to distract from the stone.

The ring band flows from the diamond’s lowest possible point, so the diamond is held in its highest possible way, in a robust mount.

A 5 carat diamond is divine. This is a great value diamond ring.
