Blue amber is the rarest variety of amber! It was known to be only found in the Dominican Republic and small amount in Mexico, but NOT any more as they found more in Indonesia. The blue amber listed here, its ACTUAL body colour is honey brown but when exposed to sun light, it appears ‘bluish’. Means, you will only see the bluish effect in natural sunlight or any other light source that has a slight component of UV (Ultra Violet) light because of its fluorescence.

For blue amber, the more intense the bluish reaction and the more cleaner the material, the more valuable it is. Blue Amber of decent size and good quality is getting very rare and command a very high market price. Truly unique organic gemstone!
