This specimen is a fossilized coral originating from the region of Ezerovo village near the town of Parvomay, Bulgaria. It displays well-preserved coral polyp structures, visible as a honeycomb-like pattern formed by ancient marine organisms. The warm tones of pink, beige, and reddish-brown reflect mineral replacement during fossilization over millions of years. Once part of a prehistoric shallow sea, this coral gradually turned to stone as silica and other minerals filled its skeletal structure. Today, it represents a remarkable example of Bulgaria’s geological heritage and ancient marine life.
