There is a class of Jade (as with all gems) that is getting more difficult to find - added to which is the finest art carving (which is also rare to acquire) as accomplished artistry with the carver knowing the stone and working with it, as well as the composition itself needing to be coherent and inspiring ... This piece is definitely a terrific acquisition for the collector. Its tones, polish and beauty (back and front) are simply wonderful. For wearing (although very large) or for display ... with definite Art Nouveau leanings, the tones of green are so pleasing, and synonymous with Jade itself.
