Ruby Briolettes Parcel of 9 side drilled FF 6-7.25mm 16.81ct

Ruby - the Queen of Gemstones.  The color is a fantastic red with a hint of pink in some gemstones. Hand cut by our very own loyal team of lapidaries.  Side drilled at the very top - we have removed these from the strings they were sold on to sell them in smaller parcels. The clarity of these varies but on average we will say they are VS clarity.  The quality of our macro lense is so high that the gems are magnified by the screen to 50 or even 100 times their size; a loupe magnifier for gem evaluation is 10 x magnified - so what you are seeing on the screen is more magnified a than a loupe magnifier!  And…we have not photoshopped the photos - they are as is - not enhanced in any way.

Rubies tend to show significantly higher levels of flaws than treated ones,so many collectors prefer the beauty that results from the fine treatment of these gems known as ‘fissure and cavity filling treatment’.  Do not put this gem or indeed any other gem near heat cleaning processes or in a kiln.     These rubies are mined in Mozambique Africa.  Most Rubies are routinely Lead Glass treated.
