This Spinel shows all its beauty under the sun. The color here is blue with a green modifier, like a lot of Sri Lankan spinel. The saturation is rich. The tone is mediumDark, meaning that this crystal is mostly dark (but NOT black), and with the right lighting conditions, the color "opens".
The oval cut is well done ! The shape-symmetry is very good, the pavilion is straight cut with step facets (brilliant cut) and the table - crown are wide ! However, there is always an area where there is a light extinction... and there is like a small window... The cut remains beautiful to see, well cut. The clarity here is really clean face up ! There are no scratch no inclusion Clean quality ! There is an inclusion on one corner of the oval cut, inside, below the crown exactly where the girdle is. In the first picture, it possible to see it because the picture is like x5. But with eyes, this one is NOT visible face up. VVS quality.
