Madeira Citrine and Chevron Amethyst share a very queerplatonic bond. They were the last gems that came out from an abandoned kindergarten and they're both defective. They found the rest of themselves in each other and this brought them to fuse to feel complete.[3]
However their fusion is not permanent. Sometimes Ametrine feels alone so she unfuses and both Madeira and Chevron can chill together
