This gem is a good example of the colors Andesine Feldspar come in!  A large variety From Pale Yellow to Dark burgundy Red & Dark Green!  This peachy melon-honey color has some color shifts at different angles.   No black inclusion seen!  

Andesine Labradorite is a gemstone in the feldspar family. It is known for a brilliant play of color and exhibits lustrous metallic tints of blue, green, yellow, red, gold and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, labradorite is 6 – 6.5.

This being a newer Mined gem to test combination of Andesine which is a member of the plagioclase feldspar group, which also includes labradorite and sunstone. All the members of this group are a mixture of albite and anorthite, with andesine being 50-70% albite and 30-50% anorthite. Testing shows Heat treatment some reported with diffusion. When it is treated yellow Andesine Labradorite will produce red or green rarely, When the gem is treated and does turn red the outcome is Wonderful, we offer a spectacular gem, stable and the color is stunning!
