** Blue quartz: Turbid blue. Inclusions of crocidolite fibers cause the color. The colors of cryptocrystalline quartz: n the narrow sense, chalcedony (species name for all cryptocrystalline quartzes) will mean any translucent, cryptocrystalline quartz with a single color, whether it has a special variety name or not. Its colors are bluish, white, or gray. The various types differ in color due to metallic impurities, such as iron, nickel, copper, and titanium, present during crystallization.
Most of these quartz specimens are formed into cabochon, Rarely we find very clean rough that allows for faceted gemstones to be cut instead of cabochons. This gemstone is a Blue Moon Quartz and is rare, heat treated and very clean, VVS grade, This gem has a rainbow blue like moonstone appearance but clear and is Blue Moon Quartz, You will be very pleased with this gem!
