This gemstone comes with a certificate from Galaxy Gemological Institute (GGI) which is run by GIA alumni graduate gemologists. This lab is not on the approved lists on Gem Rock Auctions, but is the biggest labs in Pakistan, again run by GIA Graduate Gemologists, it is unfair that gem rock auctions does not recognize such a lab but I have placed this information in my description even if they have said it is not on the list as it comes with this stone.
A true investment grade kashmir sapphire.
The Kashmir mines are one of the highest in the world , and produce fine quality sapphires. It is rare to find Trapiches, and this specimen is for any collector or jeweller. No treatment, no heating.
It is very hard to get sapphires from Kashmir of this quality, over 1 ct sapphires like this and on top of this trapiche is extremely rare. This stone weighs exactly 2 ct.
Kashmir sapphires rough are hard to cut, they are covered with carbon, graphite and one has to cut layers of this to reveal the sapphires insides, it is very very rare to get trapiches and stones like this.
Inclusions other than trapiche are less visible in real, as we use a macro lens in some photos and videos to really show the stone close up.
We have used led and natural light, we have not edited the photos. Color may vary depending on your screen.
We are also GIA alumni.
Our Extra Comments of this stone (We are certified from GIA Lab London in Colored Stone Grading, with 100% marks)
Based on the GIA grading system.
Tone - 6 (medium)
Hue - reddish Purple
Saturation - 5 (Strong)
Clarity - Trapiche like inclusion, other inclusions not that visible to the unaided eye, but is visible if have a closer look. Slightly included. For a Kashmir this clarity is rare.
Weight - 2 ct
Measurements - 8.58*6.53*3.71
Comments - The color is more strong pinkish purple, but in some lighting's the color is more reddish, and flashes of red/strong pink are present in the stone. The color pink is a lower saturation of red, which is why it is not included in the GIA color description system as pink but as red in the hue wheel.
Shipping is fully tracked and Insured, packed in secure packing. Customs may apply.
