Mosasaur prognathodon JAW fossil
This is a 15" fossil tooth of Prognathodon , a large type of Mosasaur from the Late Cretaceous, phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. Teeth of Prognathodon currii are far more rare than other species of Prognathodon. They have a rounded/blunt tip rather than coming to a point.
This tooth is from the massive phosphate deposits in Oulad Abdoun Basin near Khouribga, Morocco.
Mosasaurs are a family of enormous marine reptiles that truly dominated the seas 90 million years ago. They ruled during the last 20-25 million years of the Cretaceous period. With the extinction of the ichthyosaurs and decline of plesiosaurs, mosasaurs diversified to become prolific apex predators in nearly every habitat of the oceanic world.

NeutralFast shipping, but unfortunately, the stand wasn't included as promised. The fossil consists of various bones and teeth from many different animals and is quite a pretty conglomerate. For the relatively low price, it's fine. A decorative piece.
