This gem’s sparkling and swirling reds and greens are like a piece of Impressionist art.  The gem combines the vitality of Ruby with Zoisite crystals in a single specimen.  Zoisite, provides the grass green part, sometimes with black hornblende inclusions. Zoisite is the same mineral as the rare and pricey Tanzanite gem.  It comes from the same mine in Tanzania.

Healing Properties of Ruby Zoisite:  It helps creativity and can aid us bring our ideas to fruition.  By itself, ruby is associated with creativity and passion. It can bring anger to the surface, so it is not usually recommended for people with a short fuse.  The Zoisite softens ruby’s qualities, providing a cooling and grounding effect. It is suggested the stone can help heal a broken heart and bring about stability.  Like Zoisite, Ruby Zoisite is said to enhance fertility and help with diseases of the reproductive system particularly the testicles and ovaries.
