A beautiful Ceylan sapphire, with a very nice sky blue color and an intense shine. This mythical gem belongs to the corundum family and can be declined in many colors: Green, orange, pink ... Nevertheless the most often found color in jewelry is of course blue, which has given to the sapphire its name: Sappir in Hebrew gave sappheiros in Greek then sapphirus in Latin, and has long been used to name a blue stone.

This one comes from Sri Lanka, the most famous origin for sapphires. Formerly called Ceylon, this island has indeed produced very good quality sapphires for a long time. The gem has an exceptional brilliance, thanks to its excellent clarity: completely clean. The cut resulted in an 81-faceted oval, the culet is deep in order to intensify the blue color.

An intense shine, extremely hard and resistant (hardness of 9, very good tenacity), sapphire lends itself to all types of jewelry.
