All of these bi color tourmaline gems were produced from a single locality in eastern Zambia. This is the same deposit that produced the beautiful selection of rubelite tourmaline, raspberry tourmaline and parti color tourmalines in some of the other sections of the tourmaline gemstones. These unique bi color tourmalines were discovered by a man who was digging a latrine! I bought most of the better quality production of the tourmalines from this mine. The Bi Color Tourmalines that were produced are of exceptionally fine quality. The colors are beautiful and intense with excellent division of color. Some of the tourmalines are almost a tri color tourmaline, with three distinct colors, pinkish red, colorless and green. These bi colors are very unusual in that they are free of inclusions, which is very uncommon with bi color tourmalines. DESCRIPTION
