Remarks: This is a rare variety of Quartz known as Petroleum Quartz, It really contains inclusions of yellow natural oil. Occasionally you also may find black spots (bitumen) or gas bubbles (methane). Under longwave UV light the petroleum has a strong yellow fluorescence (see photos).
