Padparadscha is considered as the most beautiful and valuable of corundum gems. It is commonly found in Sri Lanka. Also found to be from Madagascar and Tanzania.
The chemical composition of Padparadscha is Al2O3 and the color of the gem is caused by the Iron and Chromium. A 9.0 Mohs scale of mineral hardness make Padparadscha Sapphire a desirable gem to wear in jewelry.
The mysterious and extremely rare Padparadscha Sapphire offers unique blends of orange, pink and yellow stones to create a truly special gemstone.
Padparadscha is an ancient Sanskrit word uses to describe the color of tropical Lotus flower. This is the rarest of the fancy colors in corundum family.
