prognathodon curri tooth fossil

This is a 2.5 " fossil tooth of Prognathodon currii, a large type of Mosasaur from the Late Cretaceous, phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. Teeth of Prognathodon currii are far more rare than other species of Prognathodon. They have a rounded/blunt tip rather than coming to a point.

This tooth is from the massive phosphate deposits in Oulad Abdoun Basin near Khouribga, Morocco.
